Nuffic is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 1952. Its activities are based on agreements with two Ministries - Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – and on contracts with various international and private organizations. Nuffic promotes international cooperation and mobility in higher education. Since 2004 Nuffic has been appointed as NS by the Ministry of Education. The Department National Agency for Lifelong Learning manages the EU’s Erasmus scholarship programme and supports and promotes the Tempus and Erasmus Mundus programmes. The NA LLL is a partnership between the Nuffic, the European Platform for Dutch Education and Centre for Innovation in Vocational, Adult and Continuing Education (CINOP). Nuffic is the is the Agency’s lead partner.
